Bangor to host 2014 Maine GOP convention

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) -- Bangor has been chosen as the host city for the 2014 Maine Republican Convention.
The GOP State Committee on Saturday chose Bangor over Lewiston and Augusta to host the convention. It will be held at the new Cross Insurance Center.
Newly elected party Chairman Rick Bennett, who was voted in on Saturday, will appoint a convention-planning committee.
The convention is tentatively scheduled for April 25-27, 2014.
