SAN FRANCISCO STATE UNIVERSITY, DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Developmental Psychology to begin August 2013, pending budgetary approval. Candidates are preferred who have teaching and/or research experience in multicultural settings. Qualifications: Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology or a related field and must provide evidence of a high-quality program or research and teaching experience. The candidate should have a strong background in developmental theory and research, a research agenda focused on issues related to child and/or adolescent development, demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate level, an interest in preparing undergraduates to work effectively with children, adolescents and families from diverse backgrounds, and the ability to work collegially and effectively in a multicultural environment. Responsibilities: The position requires teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Developmental psychology, supervising undergraduate and graduate research, and developing an outstanding program of research. Application Process: All materials should be received in hardcopy and review of applications will begin November 1, 2012. Candidates should submit a letter of intent, a current curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching and research interests, and a sample of scholarly papers.
