We hope you came through Hurricane Sandy safely and have come off the sugar highs from Halloween! The weather is looking way better for this upcoming weekend and we're sure you are ready to?dry out and get rid of some of the cabin fever! This week, enjoy arts and crafts in Oaks, juggling fun, a fall train ride and Election Day fun! Sugarloaf Crafts Festival

Enjoy early?holiday shopping this Friday-Sunday at the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks (off Rt. 422). More than 250 of the nation's finest craftspeople with great gifts, including handmade toys and kids clothing - plus children's activities, live music, gourmet treats, and artist demonstrations.

Fri 11/3 and Sat 11/4 10-6pm, Sun 11/5 10-5pm. Free parking. Online discounts.?Adults: $10, Kids under 12 free.

Fall Foliage Express?

Calling all train lovers! Enjoy a brisk fall afternoon with the West Chester Railroad along the Chester Creek Valley from this heated train on this 90 minute journey back in time to the village of Glen Mills and return. Adults enjoy the amazing foliage and kids enjoy all things trains!

Sun, 11/4 (11th and 18th too), 12pm and 2pm. Cost: Adults - $12.50, Children - $10.50, Kids under 2 ride free. Departs from Market St Station, West Chester, PA.


Saturday, November 3rd:

Celebrate Mexican culture and the tradition of Day of the Dead at the Penn Museum?with an afternoon of music, dancing and, storytelling and arts and crafts. 1pm to 4pm. $8-$12. Kids aged 5 and under are free.

Who can resist a Cinderalla's Princesses & Wizards Costume Party??Cinderella?s children have an adventure?with the help of wizards, fairies, Cinderella?s princess friends & children from the audience. Don't forget your costumes (see? Halloween is not over yet!). Hedgerow Theatre, Media. 11am, $9

Rock out at World Cafe Live as they welcome Steve Pullara and the Cool Beans Band!?Come hear this nationally loved children's bands and listen to their hits that have made #1 numerous times! Dancing in the aisles starts at 11am, tickets starts at $7. Arrive early to nab a good seat!

Did you blow through a ton of arts and crafts supplies while holed up during Hurricane Sandy? Stop by King of Prussia's or Cherry Hill's Lakeshore Learning to pick up a few more and enjoy a free arts and crafts activity anytime between 11 and 3pm. This week, your kids will be making a colorful autumn wreath. Hint: join their newsletter to receive 20% a single non-sale item. Also hosting free workshops this weekend are Home Depot and Lowes where your kids can begin their D-I-Y careers!

We got short-changed a bit for Halloween and if you didn't get your pumpkin-y fill, head to Yardley, PA for Canaloween. You'll be treated to a gorgeous walk along the Delaware Canal where the light of dozens of lit pumpkins will guide you along a quarter of a mile walk. Pumpkins are lit at dusk and stay lit for 2 hours.

Sunday, November?4th:?

Arrrggggh!?It's PirateAdventure Day at Brandywine River Museum?at Brandwine River Museum. Enjoy a day of pirate themed fun for all ages. The event will include pirate-themed crafts, a hunt for Brandywine River Museum treasures, and dramatic presentations of Robert Louis Stevenson?s Treasure Island. Activities are included with museum admission, which is free on Sundays until noon through November 18, 2012.

Get in the last crisp days of fall at the?Kidz Fall Fun Fest in Lansdale!?Moonbounce, face painting, carnival games, candy, prizes, hot dogs, popcorn, cookie decorating & crafts. Parents can enjoy free coffee, cappuccino, baked goods & other refreshments. Family Worship Center, 6pm. Cost is free.

Apple season is winding down so don't miss the Peddler's Village Apple Festival where you'll enjoy scrumptious apple treats (can you say caramel apples?), live entertainment and much more. Save room in your tummies and take part in the traditional favorite pie-eating contest!

It's aFamily Arts Academy Workshop at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts! Today, you'll be making cut paper silhouettes where your family can create an original story to share. Creativity runs from 2-4pm, cost is free for all members and Philadelphia school district students.?

Treat yourself and your family to some juggling fun as David Darwin performs at Grosso's Magic Theater as part of Sunday Family Fun Magic Shows! Tickets start at just $10, $30 buys you a front-row seat with popcorn. Runs from 3-5pm.
