Heartland and its subsidiary PGG Wrightson Finance both support farmers, who form the backbone of the New Zealand economy, with a range of finance, working capital and seasonal capital solutions that help keep their farming enterprises running smoothly and effectively.

Heartland and PGG Wrightson Finance have just launched a new product to market called Heartland Stock Lease. A Heartland Stock Lease provides farmers with a cost-effective way of financing their most important income generating on-farm asset ? livestock.

A Heartland Stock Lease frees up a farmer?s investment in capital stock to improve on-farm cash flows, grow their farming business or pay down debt.

Heartland?s Head of Rural, Will Purvis, says as one of the country?s leading rural financiers, Heartland has been working closely with its customers to develop the Heartland Stock Lease.

?Farmers have around $20 billion tied up in livestock; while it?s one of their most important assets, it?s also the biggest drain on their working capital. Like plant and equipment, capital livestock has a high initial value that depreciates over its life. At Heartland we?re applying our expertise in leasing to match the needs of progressive farmers.?

A Heartland Stock Lease helps free-up capital, and can be tailored to meet seasonal cash flow requirements and also unseasonal events that happen all too often in farming.
